Delhi Public School, Ludhiana hosted ‘The Artful Teacher Workshop Programme’ on December 20–21, 2025, a deeply reflective and engaging two-day experience inspired by the philosophy of Parker J. Palmer, whose belief that the heart lies at the center of education shaped the spirit of the sessions. Facilitated by Ms. Sanjana, Ms. Mukta, Ms. Kriti, and Mr. Sukhesh, the workshop created a safe, vibrant space where educators explored their inner landscapes through dialogue, creativity, and play. Day 1 opened with energizers like the Pizza Massage activity, fostering warmth and camaraderie, followed by reflective exercises such as the Three-Word Reflection Game and the Critical Moment Timeline, enriched with readings from ‘The Courage to Teach’, which encouraged participants to identify “Aha” and “Oh” moments in their professional journeys. A Socratic Seminar cultivated deep listening and open-ended inquiry, while discussions on classroom facilitation challenges generated meaningful strategies grounded in lived experience. Day 2 deepened reflection through storytelling at Kahani Ghar, with readings of ‘The Rabbit Who Listened’ and ‘The Word Collector’, emphasizing empathy, attentive listening, and the transformative power of words.

The “My Teacher Journey” mapping activity enabled participants to trace personal and professional milestones, fostering validation and shared understanding. The Wall of Values exercise encouraged educators to identify core principles shaping their teaching identities, while creative group presentations of symbolic Totem Poles celebrating Ludhiana’s spirit strengthened collaboration and collective pride. Seamlessly blending introspection, dialogue, artistic expression, and joyful movement, the workshop concluded with renewed inspiration, deeper connection, and a strengthened commitment to nurturing authenticity, empathy, and purpose within the educational community.
