The Self-Learning Camp for Class XI stands as a thoughtful initiative aimed at nurturing independence, emotional resilience, and reflective exploration among students by moving them beyond the comfort of routine classroom learning into the enriching embrace of nature. Set against the tranquil landscape of Junga, the five-day camp immersed students in experiences that fostered collaboration, adaptability, leadership, and sound decision-making—qualities essential for shaping confident and capable individuals. On December 06, 2025 the school extended this transformative journey to parents through an engaging and immersive presentation. The morning commenced in the JW Multipurpose Hall with a warm welcome, after which parents were guided to the hockey ground, creatively transformed into a vibrant simulation of the campsite by the Class XI students. The DIY recreation, complete with activity stations and playful challenges, offered parents a glimpse into the unpredictability and camaraderie that defined their children’s days in the hills.

The highlight was the spirited “Helter-Skelter Games,” compered enthusiastically by students, where parents attempted balancing a tennis-ball “ostrich egg,” manoeuvring through hula-hoop challenges, arranging numbered cards, and even performing a humorous walk, filling the field with laughter and applause. A reflective segment titled “Things I Learnt Today” invited parents to journal their insights, echoing the camp’s daily reflection practice and reinforcing the value of experiential learning. The event concluded back in the hall with a moving audio-visual showcase capturing energisers, wilderness crafts, rope challenges, the Tyrolean traverse, night forest walks, and the Talent Evening. The presentation beautifully conveyed the courage, joy, and growth the students experienced, leaving parents with pride, admiration, and a deeper appreciation of the camp’s transformative impact.
